Amanda’s Trunk Show
As a Project 1 camera sponsor with many pieces of the student’s artwork throughout her home, Amanda knew she wanted to share with family and friends how the photographs could easily work in any home. Knowing that the best way to grab people’s attention is to have them in the comfort of your living room without kids or technology to distract them, she decided to host a Big Picture Art & Soul Trunk Show. At an intimate cocktail party at her home, Amanda shared the purpose of The Big Picture Project and how well the artwork could be incorporated into anyone’s home. Instead of only selling prints, Amanda created an inspiring atmosphere which created a roomful of activists. Guests signed up to sponsor a camera, bought artwork, and shared the stories they heard that evening with others. The evening demonstrated how together we can utilize being social for good.
