IMAGINE NEVER OWNING A PHOTOGRAPH

We are accustomed to casually sharing treasured family moments through photos, but there are people and places across the world where this is not common. In fact, because of limited access and resources, it is not even a possibility. In underprivileged areas, most families don’t even own one family photo.

The power of a printed family photo is that it captures the connections and stories that are present in every family. The unique story of each family is a common denominator to people everywhere, regardless of access or resources.

IMAGINE RECEIVING YOUR FIRST PHOTOGRAPH

The gift of a simple photo allows families to celebrate and honor something they already have and deeply value: family.

The ability to share the one thing you care about most with friends and future generations is something we often take for granted. However, to a family being given their first family photo – this is proof of life, and a treasured heirloom which will be passed down from generation to generation to share the story of their lives.

The Big Picture Project is collaborating with professional photographers to provide printed family photos within communities who will treasure them dearly.

HERE ARE THE WAYS YOU CAN HELP!!!

DONATE NOW: a simple $25 donation provides the film, processing, and display materials needed for a family in need to receive their first family portrait.
PURCHASE A T-SHIRT: A simple t-shirt purchase will provide the materials needed to supply a family in need with their first family portrait.
TELL YOUR FRIENDS: and fellow photo enthusiasts how this project is shining a light on the values we share as a global community and how a simple photo can connect us all to the feeling of belonging.
